Garden Club

Del Sur Elementary School is incredibly fortunate to have an active Garden Club, led by parent volunteer, Kendall Chinn. ​​

Third Grade Cabbage Project!
​
Third grade classes have divided into groups to fill their class bed with soil, fertilizer, and cabbage seedlings. Each class will maintain their bed to see which class can grow the biggest and heaviest cabbage!

We will have a school wide contest and students can also enter in a nation wide contest sponsored by Bonnie Plants! These cabbages have the potential to weigh 50 lbs!!
The students were so excited and eager to participate. We cannot wait to watch them grow!

Running Club
Del Sur cares about our students' health! Students are encouraged to participate in Running Club during recess/snack time on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Students are automatically signed up and will have a badge should they choose to run.
​
Volunteers are needed 9:30-11:15am to help students track their progress.
